Terre Haute and Vigo County offer a rich assortment of leisure activities and park facilities. The great outdoor recreation includes seven-public and private golf courses, 24 local parks with amenities such as swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts, water slide, fishing, a Native American Museum and Nature Center, and a Frisbee golf course.

The Wabash River offers excellent facilities for boating and fishing as do numerous lakes. Terre Haute’s trail system is one of the finest in the state and is enjoyed by joggers, walkers, and bicyclists.
